Japanese Railway Operators are fallible, and don't commit suicide

Um, actually they're not considered descendants of the gods but they do take their jobs seriously. Glad you made it back to Tokyo. Outside the large cities, it's a tough country in which to navigate if one doesn't speak even the most basic of the language.
Please don't spread false information on the internet. I have first hand knowledge of their Godly ancestors.

Also sacred: rice and tea time.
I love walking through the stations just to snag free tissue packets on my way to McDonald's.
if you say so.
Usually I take local trains instead of express because often I'm going to stations the express doesn't stop at. As long as you know what train you're supposed to be on, the system is pretty good. Hate morning rush hour though.

@Karen: the free tissues are awesome indeed. But sometimes they don't like handing them to foreigners because people assume we can't read. ;)
A log overdue congrat on this post being featured on the Explore [Culture Is Good] page. I think it's been there for a couple days already so it might rotate out tonight.
I was wondering why I was getting so many comments. I really only write for my friends and family to keep track of me, so it was surprising to get even one comment from someone else.

Thanks for the congrats, and good knowledge that soon my underread blog will resume normalcy :)
